Settings → General is the foundation everything else builds on. Update once, applies across the portal.
What's here
- Business name — appears on the receptionist's greeting, every customer-facing email, the invoice header, the customer portal.
- Trade — HVAC / plumbing / roofing / electrical. Drives some content templates and the AI's framing.
- City / state — shapes the local-SEO content the AI generates + the sales-tax jurisdiction defaults.
- Timezone — IANA timezone (e.g. America/Phoenix). Every calendar / report / time input interprets values in this tz.
- Active hours — when the AI receptionist treats incoming calls as 'open'. Outside this window she still answers but books for the next available open slot.
Changing timezone after data exists
Existing appointments + reports recompute against the new timezone, which means a 9am appointment scheduled in Phoenix that you reload after switching to Eastern will display as 12pm. Be deliberate.
